Short personal synopsis

Born 1968 in Port Elizabeth, is the elder by two years of two siblings
Attended school in Port Elizabeth At Grey Institute one of the oldest schools in South Africa
Matriculated in 1986 at High School Kirkwood a dual medium school
Played rugby as a sport at school, and due to the passing of his mom at an relatively early age acquired a new set of quiet a number of younger and older new siblings and step siblings.
He was however always the eldest in the home of those at home at the particular time.
In 1987 he attended two years of conscripted Military service and achieved Leadership position with honour as an instructor and troop commander.
While in Military represented the Country in unofficial competitions, due to arms, trade and sport embargoes against South Africa , (the result of it’s National SADF military engagement with SWAPO in South West Africa), against Irish and English while sponsored by Trek Pertoleum.
Twice he has not accepted his invitation to participate in GIA world best school for gem trade & jewelers the Gemological Institute of America.
Educated in South Africa At Cape Techinkon now know as the Cape Peninsular University of Technology where amongst other extramural activities he either participates in ongoing education or in alternative and “spiritual “studies .
He has worked, had vacation or sabbaticals in United Kingdom, Swaziland, Mozambique & Nigeria. He has visited the entire Southern Africa including Zimbabwe, Botswana Namiba, Lesotho but with exception not visited Angola yet.
While on sabbatical in South Africa particularly Rustenburg he befriended and studied practices of Traditional healers after introductions by Traditional Tribal authorities at the same time he befriended Criminologists and Security personnel.
Similarly in Kwa-Zulu Natal near Nongoma, Ulundi, Gluckstad and Vryheid ,later in Mozambique and Swaziland he also visited with Sangoma and Nyangas.
He had his first Organic Garden in Vryheid.
He also served under the Transitional Municipal Council Membership of the Hartebeespoort Dam sub- structure where the befriended Trade unionists and gained practical experiences in the formalities Community and Public Management from a socio-politico aspect.
He has made it his personal business to befriend political leaders, ruling monarchs, eminent persons and tribal leaders or authorities of Africa and elsewhere and is a personal friend to a number of them.
He is an alumnus of Louis Group International’s Business Academy and joined the Institute of Directors of South Africa in 2007 after a third opportunity to do so.
John has a curious and enquiring mind and is currently enthralled & passionate about or by “How to be Director”, King Report, ICT, Alternative & preventative health care and Environment and Tourism.
He has been instructive & constructive in NGO developments in Cape Town’s Khayalitsha and commenced publically about Environmental Impacts of various Industrial Developments furthermore has friends across the “former “colour and race barriers so common South Africa society in earlier times. Of his formative years and in as comfortable talking to a King as he is talking to a prostitute, street cleaner or vagrants which are common to pedestrians in Cape Town. He has made friends of travelers and or of or in a number other countries and or of other creeds and viewpoints and in addition generally is a keeper of his friends.
He is an avid hiker, outdoors man and “naturalist” at heart and could well be the “Bare footed “director and currently lives in Cape Town most of the time.
If asked he may occasionally describe himself as eccentric but conservative and a Warrior Priest.
However being spiritual does not exclude him from a keen interest in hunting, photo safaris and bow hunting.
